Apples, Raisins and Cinnamon Cake

Try this fast to make and super easy recipe!

It is soft and moist good together with a cup of tea or coffee as well as on its own.



Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 50 minutes.


  • 150gr butter - at room temperature

  • 80gr sugar (any sugar you prefer or Stevia. If you use Stivia half the dose at least because it is very sweet).

  • 200gr flour (white or gluten free)

  • 2 eggs

  • pinch of salt

  • 1 lemon (zest)

  • 1tsp cinnamon powder

  • 1 small jar of plain yogurt

  • half glass of milk (or any no-dairy milk)

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 100gr of raisins (washed and drained)

  • 4 apples preferably Russett apples cut into thin slices.


In a bowl mix the butter with the sugar using and electric whisk. Add the eggs then the flour and the baking powder.

Add the salt, cinnamon, the lemon zest and mix well using a rubber spatula. Add the milk and the yogurt followed by the fruit and mix again.

Butter a round shaped cake tin, pour in the mix and bake at 180 degrees C for 50 minutes.

Let it cool outside the oven in the tine then transfer to a plate and decorate if you wish.
