Fish Burgers

This recipe is the creation of a long term friend of mine: Arianna.

I made it and apart from the fact that is super easy and quick to make, it also tastes really goooood.


Serves: 6 medium patties - Preparation time: 15 minutes - Cooking time: 20 minutes


Ingredients:

  • 500gr tin Mackerel in brine

  • 3 cloves crushed garlic

  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced (cooked onion, optional)

  • 1+ jalapeno (according to taste), thinly sliced

  • Herbs parsley, dill (optional)

  • 1 egg

  • Breadcrumbs

  • Coconut or avocado oil

  • Salt, pepper.


Method:


In a big bowl mixed all the ingredients together then make some patties with your hands.


In a skillet heat some oil anf fry them for about 5 minutes Flip them and cook another 5minutes

Flip them on both sides a couple of times and cook for a total of 20 minutes.


Serve warm with a mixed salad, fries or steamed potatoes (mix some sweet potatoes and some yellow ones) and season with finely chopped parsley, salt, pepper and olive or avocado oil.
