Ground Beef Broccoli

This may be a way to have your kids (as well as other adults in the family) to eat some red meat.

Super easy to make and tasty; not to mention the healthy ingredients.

Cooking time: 20 minutes.



Ingredients:


  • 500gr minced beef (organic)

  • 500gr broccoli washed and cut into small pieces)

  • 1 onion thinly sliced

  • 2 garlic cloves crushed

  • 1 pack of mushrooms (washed and cut into slices or small pieces)

  • 1handful of spinach

  • 1tbsp frozen peas

  • 1 courgette (cut into small pieces)

  • 2tbsp tomato purée

  • 1tbsp coconut oil

  • 3-4 tbsp Tamari sauce

  • 3-4 tbsp sherry

  • 1tsp salt (I often use pink Himalayn salt)

  • Dash of black pepper

  • 1tsp turmeric

  • 1tsp sesame seeds.


Methods:

In a larage cooking pan heat the coconut oil; add the mushrooms and after 4/5 minutes add the onion, garlic and the broccoli. Stir and then add the courgette and the peas, the sesame seeds and the turmeric.


Mix well, cook for around 10 minutes or until the broccoli are soft and then set aside.


In another large pan cook the meat, add the tomato purée and a little bit of water, stir and cook until the meat is brown.


Mix together the meat with the broccoli in one of the pans and add the spinach, salt, pepper, Tamari sauce and the sherry.


Let cook for a few more minutes on low while the flavours soak and then enjoy!
