Thai Style Salmon

This recipe is fast and easy and it is also very appetizing.

Shiitake mushrooms have a savory taste and various health benefits:

They are low in calories, higher in fiber, contain B vitamins and some minerals.

They are know to help boost the immune system and for having anti-cancer effects.


Servings: 4

Preparation: 10 minutes

Cooking: 20 minutes.


  • 2 skinless salmon fillets (always go for good quality and not farm one)

  • 200gr Thai Jasmine rice

  • Chilli flakes, to taste

  • Ginger powder, to taste

  • 1garlic clove, crushed

  • 2 tbsp Miso paste

  • 2 tbsp Fish sauce

  • 150gr Shiitake mushrooms, sliced

  • 250gr pak choi

  • 100gr fresh leaf spinach

  • 1 lime

  • Sesame oil.


Cook the rice in some salted boiling water according to packet instructions.

In a large pan heat the oil (over medium heat), add the chilli, ginger and garlic and cook for a few minutes. Add the Miso paste and fish sauce as well as 300ml of hot water.

Stir and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the salmon and mushrooms, cover, simmer for 10 minutes until the fish is cooked.

Meanwhile steam the pak choi and spinach for 5 minutes approximately.

Serve the salmon with the veggies, the rice and some lime wedges.
